Introduction
Welcome to My Wireless Display ("the App"), a mobile application developed by Everyday App ("we," "us," or "our"). The App lets you show your iPhone or iPad screen on any computer by streaming it to a web browser over your local Wi-Fi network — with no cables and nothing to install on the computer. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the App works and how it handles information.
How the App Works
Screen Broadcasting
- The App uses Apple's built-in screen broadcasting (ReplayKit) to capture your screen, which you start and stop yourself using the standard iOS broadcast control.
- While you are broadcasting, the App runs a small web server directly on your device and streams your screen as a live series of images to web browsers connected on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Your screen content travels only across your local Wi-Fi network, directly from your device to the browser you connect. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or copied to any external server, and we never see or receive it.
- Screen images are held only momentarily in your device's memory to stream them. The App does not record, save, or store your screen content.
Local Network Access
- The App requires local network access so your computer's browser can connect to your device over Wi-Fi. This connection stays on your local network.
- Only devices on the same Wi-Fi network can open your connection link. The App does not make your screen available over the internet.
App Preferences
Your app settings (such as theme preference, privacy options like hiding the top of the screen, the viewer-code setting, and your subscription status) are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms.
Information We Do NOT Collect
My Wireless Display does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Personal identification information (name, email, address)
- Your screen content, or any recording of it
- Viewer codes or connection links
- Location data
- Device identifiers
- Analytics or usage data
- Any data to external servers or third parties (aside from the advertising service described below for free users)
Your Screen and Your Privacy
Because the App shares your live screen, please keep the following in mind:
- While you are broadcasting, anyone on the same Wi-Fi network who opens your connection link can view your screen. If you enable the viewer-code option, they must also enter the code shown on your device.
- For added privacy, the App lets you hide the top strip of your screen (such as the status bar and notification banners) before or during a broadcast. For full privacy, we also recommend turning on Do Not Disturb.
- Broadcasting only happens when you start it and stops the moment you end it. Nothing is captured or shared when you are not broadcasting.
- We have no access to your screen at any time.
How We Use Your Information
All processing occurs locally on your device for the following purposes:
- Capturing your screen and streaming it to browsers on your local Wi-Fi network
- Generating the connection link and QR code so your computer can open the stream
- Creating and checking the optional 4-digit viewer code
- Applying your privacy settings, such as hiding the top of the screen
- Saving your app preferences and subscription status
Data Storage and Security
- Your app preferences are stored locally on your device within the App's sandboxed storage.
- Data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including hardware encryption.
- Screen images exist only briefly in memory while streaming and are never written to storage or sent to us.
- Viewer codes are generated fresh for each broadcast, are never stored permanently, and are never transmitted off your local network.
- Uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored data and settings from your device.
In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
The App offers optional premium subscriptions (weekly and yearly) through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Premium features include unlimited mirroring time, Full HD quality, the viewer-code protection option, and an ad-free experience. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID credentials.
Third-Party Services
My Wireless Display does not use any third-party analytics tools or tracking services. The App may display advertisements through Google AdMob for free users. AdMob may collect certain device information as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.
Children's Privacy
My Wireless Display does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The App is a general utility tool that does not require any personal information to function.
Your Rights and Choices
Managing Your Data
- You start and stop screen broadcasting yourself; the App only shares your screen while you are actively broadcasting.
- Uninstalling the App removes all associated data and settings from your device.
Permissions
- Local Network Access: Required so your computer's browser can connect to your device and display your screen over Wi-Fi. You can manage this permission in your device's Settings app.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
